Chosun University

About the Program
Program Overview
Study Korean at Chosun University in Gwangju through a structured 20-week program totaling 400 hours. Tuition includes textbooks, and the university offers four intakes per year - Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter - giving students several opportunities to begin throughout the year.
The program supports international students through Korean cultural experiences designed to help them adapt to Korean culture. Korean Language Program Student Supporters also assist with student activities. Before classes begin, new students attend an orientation covering foreign registration, insurance, academic affairs and visa procedures.
Academic Excellence Scholarships are awarded each semester to the top three students in each class. Students who achieve TOPIK Level 4 or above can receive a one-time award of approximately USD 333. Students who progress into a Chosun University degree program can also receive a one-time award of approximately USD 333. USD award values are estimates and may vary with exchange rates.
Applicants must be foreign nationals whose parents are also foreign nationals. They must have graduated, or expect to graduate, from high school or a higher level of education, or hold an equivalent qualification.
New students may choose university dormitory accommodation or live off campus. Dormitory fees are approximately USD 540 to USD 950 for around four months, depending on the residence and room type. Mandatory cafeteria meal plans apply in Baekhaksa and Global House. Contact Asia Pathway for current accommodation and meal-plan details.
Estimated tuition is USD 1,700 for the complete 20-week, 400-hour program, including textbooks. Contact Asia Pathway for current exchange-rate-based pricing, intake guidance and application support.
